Same brain. Different week.

45%

of women with ADHD also meet criteria for PMDD in research reviews, versus far fewer without ADHD. The crash before your period was never you failing at consistency.

de Jong et al., Journal of Clinical Medicine, 2025
Dopamine

is what estrogen supports in the focus-and-control part of your brain. Estrogen rises and focus gets easier. It falls, and your ADHD gets louder.

So the plan is not to try harder every week. It is to know which week you are in, and plan like it.

The science

The pattern is documented, not imagined

Three findings, all public, that this system is built around:

  • Jacobs & D’Esposito, Journal of Neuroscience, 2011

Estrogen shapes dopamine-dependent thinking. Estrogen receptors sit densely in the focus-and-control parts of the brain, which is why attention and working memory move across the month.

  • de Jong et al., Journal of Clinical Medicine, 2025

A review of the menstrual cycle and ADHD: symptoms worsen for many women in the days before the period, and stimulant meds can feel weaker premenstrually.

  • Camara et al., Journal of Attention Disorders, 2024

Emerging research and large patient surveys suggest perimenopause hits women with ADHD harder: one cohort found severe perimenopausal symptoms in 54% of women with ADHD versus 30% without.

Educational context, not medical advice.

What is actually in it

A 22-page fillable workbook that finds your own pattern in two cycles, then plans around it. Nothing dated, no streaks to keep. If you lose a week, the map still works. The last pages carry it into perimenopause.

  • The Cycle Tracker two cycles

Track focus, mood and sleep in the moment, checkboxes not journaling. Two cycles of your own data beat any app’s average.

  • Find Your Pattern name the windows

Turn the tracking into named good windows and hard windows, so the month stops being a surprise twelve times a year.

  • Plan Around Your Hormones match work to phase

The hard things land on the strong weeks. The crash week gets a lower bar on purpose, so it stops reading as failure.

  • Translate Your Week a heads-up script

A short script for the people around you, so the hard week stops needing an apology tour afterwards.

  • The PMDD Screener + the perimenopause pages when it is more

A screen for when the crash is worth a doctor conversation, what to bring to your prescriber, and the pages for the longer perimenopause wave.

Why this and not another tracker app

This systemA tracker appPushing through
Finds your pattern, not an average
Plans the month around it
Works with an irregular cycle
Tells you when to see a doctor

An app predicts an average woman. This maps the one brain you actually live in.

Questions

Everything you might be wondering

My cycle is irregular. Can I still find a pattern?

Yes. The tracker records what happens in the moment, it does not predict. An irregular cycle still leaves a readable trail: the point is to see your own pattern, however unusual it is.

I am in perimenopause. Is this still for me?

Yes, and the last pages are written for exactly that. The wave gets longer and less predictable, which makes tracking more useful, not less. The PMDD screen and the prescriber page apply at every stage. If your periods have fully stopped, this workbook is not the right tool, and I would rather tell you that here.

Is this medical advice?

No. It helps you find your pattern and bring it to a professional. There is a page on exactly what to bring to your prescriber, and a screen for when the crash deserves a doctor conversation.

Will I actually keep up with the tracking?

It is checkboxes, not journaling, about twenty seconds a day. And it is built for the brain that drops things: two tracked cycles are enough to see the pattern, and a lost week does not break the map.

I take ADHD meds. Does the cycle still matter?

Often more. Research reviews report that stimulants can feel weaker in the days before a period. If that matches your experience, the tracker makes it visible, and the prescriber page tells you what to do with that information.

What if it does not help me?

Email me any time in the first 30 days and I send back every cent. No form, no convincing me. You keep the files.

Is this part of the Complete System?

No, and that is deliberate. The Complete System covers the day and night battles. This workbook is its own thing: the only one built around the hormone pattern that moves all the others.

Next month can be the first one you saw coming.
